The importance of good website content can be put rather simply. The content is considered as the soul of your website. It determines the overall worth and value of the site.

Catching User Attention
An appealing website design and feel can pull people into your site, but it is the content that makes them stick to the site and support your products or offerings. It usually only takes 10 seconds for visitors to decide whether or not the site is interesting for them. Thus, pictures, logos, slogans and quickly readable web content are important for catching attention.

Keeping User Attention
While catchy design and headers can gain the attention of online users, it is the actual content and information that you provide in your site that will make them stick to your pages and read through what you have to say.

Furthermore, content plays a vital role in directing traffic into your site. If you want to draw in quality traffic and potential clients, you should publish relevant information that will capture their interest. You need to provide them with useable information that is presented in a form that is quick to read and interesting so that they will go on and finish until your very last sentence.

What do you mean by quality content?
For the most part, complete content involves three factors:

Quality Information
The copy must provide truthful and comprehensive information about a topic.

Quality Presentation
The presentation of the text should be unique, interesting, conversational and user-friendly.

Quality Writing
The writing style should be grammar and glitch-free, concise, and coherent to be appreciated.

Bear in mind that online users all over the world usually surf the net to look for information that are important for them. They either want basic knowledge, or they might want to advance their existing knowledge on some other topic. And it is only high quality kinds of articles and contents that can benefit your readers.

Search Engine Optimization
Your copy is not only important in drawing visitors, but it is also vital for site rankings. Site rankings can only be improved with good keyword use for online keyword searches. Thus, not only should your content bear the three characteristics above, it should be keyword rich as well.

These days, majority of online users use search engines to find information on the Internet. Therefore, you need to make sure that your site will rank high in terms of search engine rankings. The easiest way to achieve this is to make sure that you publish articles and web copies that are filled with keywords which will increase your chances in getting indexed by search engines. You can take advantage of meta tags, headings, and the right keyword densities. Optimizing your site with search engines will bring your site a constant stream of traffic. High site traffic means high chances of quality traffic and higher number of conversions to sales.

Tips in Writing Web Content
There are ways by which you can come up with successful web content:

1. Always be concise. Try not to make your sentences long. Remember that readers typically have short attention spans. Directly go to the point and say what you need to say.

2. Use a conversational style. Never use formal or business language because they tend to discourage online users from reader further. It is best to convey a natural, confident and casual tone that speaks directly to the reader.

3. Write it chunk by chunk. Present your ideas or topics in chunks with headings on it for easier scanning. Stick to just one idea per paragraph.

4. Give quality information. Always provide the good kind of information - enriching, educational and interesting. Do not waste your time and your readers’ as well in information that is false, useless or confusing.

5. Use links. Descriptive links on your pages are great for convincing your readers to perform a particular action that you want them to do. Links such as “Try out our demo” or “Order now!” will do wonders. Also, add in links for complementary information to add in credibility to the information you provide and to boost your rankings in search engines.

6. Keep your contents fresh. Regularly update your site contents to make sure that your visitors will have a god reason to keep coming back to your site.
